Fresh World International Market

I went to visit my parents Sunday night and discovered that the Kroger that used to be near them was turned into a "Fresh World International Market" which I had never heard of before. Turns out its a crazy awesome mixture of Mexican market and Asian market.

Crazy awesome produce including Sour Oranges, Indian eggplant, and Thai Eggplant. At the bottom is something like Moussey Leaves and they're seriously like three feet long.

They had a sushi chef making some very tasty looking dishes. I love the cartoony lady chef in the poster. "It's Good!" I'm pretty sure the sushi would be fantastic and super fresh. How do I know it would be fresh? Because the guy was standing right next to these fish tanks.

Yup, live fish. Pretty healthy looking, but I can see why a lot of people would be squeamish about fish this fresh,

A shelf of nothing but various kinds of dried seaweed.

And a shelf featuring a hundred and one varieties of ramen.

I think when I have time and pantry space I'll have to go back and stock up on snacks.

  1. Next time you are up in Northern VA, we need to take you to the "Grand International Market". It seems similar to this, except their seafood section is VERY sketchy.

  2. Hi :D I just wanted to thank you for posting these pictures. There's a Fresh World in Glen Burnie, MD but until I found this I had no way of showing anyone what it was like! It's so hard to find anything about them on the internet. They aren't even listed in the phone book! Oh well, I love it there and can't wait to go back ^__^ Thanks again for the post! (found it on google, btw)
